Which is better sr2 or sr3

Saints row 2 is far better than 3 and 4 combined Cause one of those dlcs is a invincible cheat dlc. Which prevents you from dying the entire game. Seriously the most ridiculous thing ever Its true about Sr2 not being great for pc, but if you can run in propperly on pc and get used to the controls. This game is far better than the other 2. And unlike the other 2, Sr2 is still played the most.

I'd get both for the fun value. SR2 over anything. I'd prefer Gat threatening to shove a gavel into someone over Gat dying.

Krofinn View Profile View Posts. Also get the GOTR mod. Yes, the PC port is bad, but it's more a minor inconvenience than anything game-breaking. I prefer Saints Row 2 for a having gameplay that is less repetitive and b more customization over everything more vehicle customization options, non-civilian vehicle customization, your character walk, voice options no black female voice?

The stores weren't so repetitive and there were more open interiors to explore. The Third had a better sense of what kind of game it wanted to be. It's better on a strictly technical level, but I couldn't get over how annoyingly over the top it was.

SR2 lets you create the insane moments, and The Third shoved them down your throat. Everything in The Third felt cheezy and forced to me.

I'll concede that from a strictly technical standpoint, The Third wins, but I can't really care about how great shooting mechanics are if the weapons feel crazy weak. Saints Row 2 has much better sidekicks and a much better story when you compare the first half of each game. I love both games though. Not sure about SR2, but SR3 gets very boring very quickly.

Once you've done all the missions and the little activities, you've done everything. There is nothing else to really do. It's fun while it lasts, but it doesn't last long. The story and customisation were way better in Saints Row 2, but from a gameplay and spectacle standpoint, Saints Row The Third wins.

I have not played Saints 2, but I loved Saints the third Was compelled to play through Saint's Row 2 , can't say the same of The Third. Just didn't find what it was doing especially funny or novel, and the way it was structured felt way more linear somehow. I enjoyed SR2 way more.

I liked the leaders of the rival gangs more as villians, and there was more stuff to do. I think SR3 is better. I think a lot of people who perfer SR2 forget how bad its plays. The shooting, driving, etc. On the other hand, there's just a lot more content in SR2. There's a ridiculous amount of customization you can do. There's also a lot more missions in SR2 than in SR3. I beat SR3 in like 11 hours.

That's honestly pretty pathetic for an open world game. SR2 took me about 40 or so. Does Saints row 2 has less glitches then Saints row The third? User Info: mrusty3. SR2 way better than SR3 the story for the story lacked and got me mad Requiescat in pace. User Info: Druff. Haven't played it yet. As long as it's a lot better than SR1, I'll be happy. I think I'm just about at the end VividAxis posted Just thick in all the wrong places". User Info: FaDRain. Or they could ignore it.

But there IS a chance. So it should be done. I agree with it by the way, SR3 is good, its just not as fun or alive as SR2 is. Its just so empty in comparison to its predecessor. The story and characters were also better in 2 than they are in 3. More topics from this board In SR2 you had to complete difficult Activities to unlock certain upgrades. In SR3 you can purchase them if you're at a certain level.

Survival telephone calls. Bridges that raise and can be jumped. Once they are raised they never lower again. Heli Homie delivers a selected helicopter when called.

Most people agree that the controls in SR3 are better than SR2. Character uploading and downloading from Image As Designed stores. This is dependant on the reliability of the saintsrow. You must create an account with them and agree to let them track how you play the game as well as give them rights to use any information they take from you.

This feature will not work offline or if you don't pay for the xbox Live Gold service. An in-game Camera feature that lets you share screen shots with friends.

More jewelry coloring options. You can select any color from the pallet. Under-vehicle lights. It's a very cool effect. Better organized wardrobe menu system. More gang member styles and you can choose four different default gang members. Short animations if you punch someone while running, or when you jack a vechile.

More tanks and military vehicles. Whored Mode. Homie upgrade options. SR1 has these things and SR2 does not:. Bridge that raises and lowers every few hours. Can be jumped for fun. Drive By Homie. A lady that drives you around town. From the passenger seat you can relax, shoot people, and give driving directions.

More drug, alcohol, and food options. Talk radio station comedy. I'm not perfect and I definitely don't know everything. I've been completely through SR3 twice and am on my third character. I've played a lot of co-op but not many co-op missions. I have all DLC's including the Prima guide one that they accidentally posted on the marketplace for a few hours one day.

I loved Saints Row 1. Loved Saints Row 2 even more. I enjoyed but am mostly dissapointed with The Third despite the improvements. Activities in SR2 lasted a long time and were not easy. When you finished them you really felt like you earned it. Some people prefer the shorter and easier Activities in SR3. Loosing Johnny Gat is a source of contention in the fanbase. Newcomers are like "Who's John Gat? The crazy physics of Insurance Fraud, where on adrenalin you could be knocked across half of the map sometimes, that's gone in SR3.

In SR3 you don't have to fill a Respect Meter to play missions. A lot of people like to rush through storylines and they found SR2's Respect Meter annoying because they were forced to play Activities or do other things between a few story missions.

SR3 doesn't have the annoying Co-Op Achievements. SR3 has one of the easiest Achievements list I've ever seen. City life in SR2 felt better because of things like random nude streakers, old ladies with oxygen tanks, boats on the water and planes in the air, citizens that sang and danced, yoga in groups and did other very interesting things like the barbershop quartets, and random pimp wars.

Some people say that these small features do not matter. Others thought it did and think that the new city feels empty.
