Crush washer which way

Have been for the last , miles. I have NO crunch washers on tank or motor drain plugs and have never had a leak. That is amazing you use no washers and no leaks! Horsehammerr commented. I guess it's just a Good Precise fit. Since Shores brought up a good point i wanted to post a pic of what i'm talking about. Some drain plugs just have a flat on both sides washer for the drain plug. The part Yamaha gave me looks like the attached. It is not flat on both sides, not by a long shot.
