How do i install dynabeads on a motorcycle

When you start to pour, only allow a constant small stream of beads to flow down the tube. If you try to rush it, you'll find you have to keep tapping the valve stem with your finger when they jam up. For pickup customers with existing weights: Put the Dyna Beads in through the valve stem and take it for a ride before removing any weights.

It should be smooth or nearly so. Then, starting with the front tires only, make a mark on the rim with a felt pen where the weights are, mark down how many ounces are in that position, and then remove the weights. In most cases you will run smooth, but if the tire had a significant lateral imbalance, you can always put the weights back on. Instructions for EZ Open Bag: Remove the clip by clasping above and below the clip and pulling gently. Then grab the plastic rod and remove both halves of the clip and discard.

Be sure to press the tape together with your fingers to make sure the top of the bag is closed. Only install bead lube on the tire, not on the rim, and don't spill any inside the tire. Work the first tire bead down over the rim.

Dyna beads available from Amazon are different than a lot of powders or granules that claim to do the same thing, these are extremely hard ceramic beads that roll on the inside of the tire. These beads work on everything, not just motorcycles. Just about anything with a tire, trailers, trucks, cars, RVs off-road vehicles all can use Dyna beads and they have different products to fit a variety of different applications.

You may be wondering exactly how do these things work. When you purchase a new tire for your motorcycle part of the assembly process is to balance your newly mounted tires. Correct balancing is essential for a smooth ride, and there are different options that are used to achieve this. Most of the balancing done when you purchase a new tire will be done with metal weights.

These weights are different sizes depending on how much each one weighs and is attached to the wheel rim. A computerized balancer senses the amount of weight needed and the weights are then applied, these weights are popular because they are inexpensive reliable and can be removed if new ones need to be applied.

Weights will take care of any issues you may have but depending on your situation you may want the option of balance bead. Balance beads available from Amazon are made of either steel, ceramic or a ceramic compound and are actually inserted into the tire during the mounting process. Once inside the moving tire will start to distribute around the inside through centrifugal force and achieve a balanced ride, the important question is which method is best for your bike?

Most tire shops will use weights unless you specify otherwise but there are some cases where balance beads may be better. Insert the valve core Inflate to the proper pressure. The most important thing to do is to hold the tube correctly, so the drill does not puncture the tube. As the picture shows, just grab the tube on the vulcanized support area between your fingers, and make sure there are no folds of rubber behind the valve stem. Chuck up the drill bit in the drill, hold the valve stem upside down as shown, and as straight as possible, run the drill bit through the valve stem.

Make one pass only. You will feel the bit pop through the end of the brass stem. The chips will come out the bottom. Thread the plastic tube down onto the valve stem.

Attach the bottle to the plastic hose. Hold the tube so that there is space behind the valve stem, and the valve stem is as vertical as possible, and start a small, steady stream of beads going down the tube. If they clog, just tip upside down so they go back into the bottle.

Install the first tyre bead over the rim. Install the tube into the tyre. Now apply a light coat of bead lube on the outside surface of the tyre.
